“Children are meant to be seen and not heard.” Maybe you have heard this before. I think we can agree that churches today want children because the thought is that they are the future of the church. They want children, yes, but they want them to be silent and controlled. Children are a sign of the future, but can they contribute today? The answer is “YES!” Some churches will allow children to be in worship, have a children’s time, maybe even let them light the candles and take up the offering. There is nothing wrong with this at all, but there is more! In this session, we will see and begin to understand that there is no such thing as a ‘junior size’ Holy Spirit. If children are taught and encouraged to hear God and follow the direction of the Holy Spirit, some amazing things will happen. We will hear stories of how God has used children in the Bible, throughout history, and today. We will also discuss a simple, yet powerful way to help children to hear God. If children are given a chance to not only be seen in worship, but be heard in worship, and to not only be heard, but to be active in worship, there will be a mighty move God in the church.
