John Wesley (1703-1791), the spiritual father of more than thirty-five denominations and movements including Methodist, Pentecostal, Nazarene, Holiness, renewal and charismatic groups, penned and preached these classic sermons on the Holy Spirit. Ordained in the Anglican Church in 1728, John Wesley received assurance of his salvation at a meeting on Aldersgate Street, London in 1738. It is estimated that for the cause of the gospel he traveled over 250,000 miles and delivered as many as 42,000 sermons. The number of works he wrote, translated, or edited exceeds two hundred.
